By Ashley Poston.
This book is everything I’ve ever wanted in a romance. Loveable characters, an amazing plot, lots of tension, and a healthy dose of paranormal. (Yes, paranormal!) If you liked the movie, The Lake House with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves, this story is right up your alley.
Book publicist Clementine West inherits her late aunt’s New York City apartment. She always knew the century-old space was magical: the way the sun lit up the space, the high windows that reflected rainbows, the claw-foot tub. Her aunt had told her so. But that didn’t prepare her for the reappearance of her aunt’s furniture, the encounter with a handsome stranger, Iwan, who was shaking her awake, or the fact that the apartment had shifted her back in time. By seven years.
As the apartment slips her in and out of the past, Clementine gets to know the Iwan who existed seven years ago. They become friends and grow close. So much so that she wonders why she doesn’t know him in the present. Can she even locate him in the present? And if she does, is present-day Iwan anything like the Iwan she knows (and cares about) from in the past?

One of my favorite reads, “The Seven Year Slip,” is a witty, time-bending romance by Ashley Poston.
