A cute, racy romance with a bit of heat and a lot of character. Olivia Marshall’s life had become a hot mess. Literally. A fire in her apartment building left her homeless. After she lost her job. And broke up with her boyfriend. As she wondered if things could get any worse, that’s when it happened. Her phone dinged with a random text from a wrong number. It was fun. And flirty. And a distraction from her real life.
The thing was, real life for Olivia was crashing on a blow-up mattress in her brother’s apartment, which he shared with his best friend Colin Beck, an established heart throb as well as her childhood/teen/adult nemesis. Could her life be any more pathetic? The only thing that saved her sanity was the fun and sexy text banter with Mr. Wrong Number. Who eventually became her anonymous confidant. She had a tendency to overshare, and why not? They were total strangers, after all.
Olivia didn’t realize the effect her presence had on Colin. She’d grown into an attractive woman, someone he had difficulty ignoring. But she was his best friend’s little sister. And off limits. Fortunately, Colin had his own distraction. A stranger he accidently texted, Miss Misdial, who proved to be entertainingly adept at flirting via texts. And he was all in. What was the harm in a little anonymous fun. Until one day he noticed a text he’d sent Miss Misdial appeared on Olivia’s phone.
Uh oh! Now what?
Will Oliva find out the identity of Mr. Wrong Number? And if she does, what lengths will Colin take to ensure the banter between them isn’t blocked?

One of my favorite reads, “Mr. Wrong Number,” is a witty, anonymous-texter romance by Lynn Painter.
