This book is definitely one to put on your romance “must read” list. It follows Tiffy as she navigates the challenges of sharing a one-bedroom flat (and a mattress) with a stranger (Leon). He works the night shift. She has a day job. He really needs the extra cash (to help his brother), and she desperately needs a place to live (her ex-boyfriend has kicked her out). The arrangement is unusual and based on the assumption that one will always be out when the other is home, and they will never see each other.
And it works like clockwork. While navigating their own challenges, they get to know each other and become friends via hand-written thoughts scribbled on notes scattered around the flat. No in-person contact. Until one of them inadvertently messes up the schedule and they accidently meet. Face-to-face. It’s unexpected, awkwardly revealing, and totally embarrassing. And it changes their whole dynamic.
Despite the mix-up, Tiffy and Leon continue forward as flat mates. Their friendship grows stronger, and they each discover how amazing a relationship can be when one person truly cares about the other.

One of my favorite reads, “The Flatshare,” is a fun, room-sharing romance by Beth O’Leary.
